Alabama affords many lakefront views - one on the market at Smith Lake lets the vista do its work.

A four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath lake home in Crane Hill is currently on the market for $2.7 million. Located off Allen Road, this 3,316-square foot furnished home with a metal roof is situated on three lots, with multiple views of the water.

There’s a grand room with a kitchen, living and dining rooms with space for entertaining. There are large guest rooms.

There’s also a double slip dock and two detached garages, a boat house, swim platform and year round access to the water with a rock shoreline, according to Lake Homes Realty.

Smith Lake has the largest amount of lake homes real estate currently on the market, according to the company, with more than $253 million worth of land and homes up for sale.

Smith Lake also has the largest home and land markets, and is second in the number of most expensive homes on the market, with an average price of $993,469.

The value of all unsold real estate on Alabama’s lakes shot past the $1 billion mark for the summer season, according to the latest report, rising in value by 25% in just the last three months.

That means Alabama is one of 11 states in billion dollar territory.
